Nonny - thank you. I also know what it is like to chase a crazy dog into traffic! My parents' yorkie escaped out the front or garage doors a couple times and I'd have to chase after him waving at cars... it truly is such a scary thing! I think the worst part of what happened to Lisa is that it happened when we weren't there.. and we couldn't find her... we were completely helpless I hope Ozzie and Lucky can be as close as Chipper and Spunky <3 BTW, love those adorable names. How is Izzy's eye and ear doing? Lisa always got around just fine with one eye - most of the time we forgot or didn't even think about her having just one eye.
My Chipper slipped out the door and ran straight into traffic a few weeks ago. It was horrifying. I'm so grateful that I managed to nab him before he was hurt. I'll play that over in my mind forever.
My Izzy is slowly slipping away and I know each day could be her last.
Chipper is 9. Four years ago, without any planning or even thinking of getting another puppy, Spunky entered our lives. Spunky is a jet black Shorkie. He and Chipper are best buddies. They sleep in the same bed. They chase each other around like crazy. They are adorable together. So, yes, boys can become best buddies.
RIP, sweet little Lisa! The tragic loss of your girl has touched me very deeply, Courtney. Your photos and videos of her are beautiful and I can see how lovely and precious she was. Life can be so hard and unfair. My heart goes out for you.
