Hair dryers

I have checked the old threads, but some were dated a while back. I wanted to see what everyone recommended. I am using my dryer now, but it takes a while to dry Abbigails hair with it. Finally got a grooming table and clippers. Last thing on my list is a dryer. Prefer something quiet and hands free, but I have a third arm. Really would like to keep it around $100.00 if possible but I can save a little longer if necessary. What's ya'll opinion?

Ok this is so funny.....I had been using the little cheap andis hand dryer with a stand. With my Big Ideas....I thought all I needed was a professional dryer to finish up my little grooming station. Went to the dog show a few weeks back and splurged and MEAN splurged on Christensen Kool Pup dryer. Thought I was the coolest kid on the block!

Then I bathed sweet Maya and turned it on....she went Bonkers. The unit itself is in the closet with the door closed and it is very quiet with adjustable air flow. Very nice system, But she will have nothing to do with it. So I am back to the cheap little andis with the 40-50 minute dry time. And I am out well over $300 but sweet little Maya is happy. Do Not tell DH please.

Sorry to hear that Maya was afraid
of the Kool Pup Dryer. Maybe you could
retry and introduce her to it. I have had
nothing but remarkable success. The
biggest advantage is the air temperature.
Is always room temperature, COOL, all the
time. You can not irritate or harm the skin
or hair of your little one.

When my Doolittle was first introduced
to the new dryer, I spent time turning it on
and off at low speeds so she could adjust to
the change in the forced air and the sound
can be very frightening at first. In fact the
first time I used it only for half the dry, and
the other half the time I was comparing it to the
human hair dryer. Hands down this is best
for both me and DooLittle.

I also still to this day test
the force of the air on myself just to realize what
she is experiencing. You want to be very careful
when drying the ears. Try it out on yours and you
will realize how sensitive it can be, not to get too
close to the ear.

Just like when I introduced
DooLittle to her doggy electric toothbrush, she
went bonkers, after re-presenting and letting
her smell and brush with no vibration, and lots
of praise, she slowly over two months became
to really like it.

Good luck!, Regards, DooLittles Dad
