I thought I remember seeing in a few threads a site you could go to to look up the TRUE source of one's pet store puppy.. does anyone know what I'm talking about? I tried a bunch of google searches but can't pinpoint exactly what the name was.
My boyfriend's brother and his girlfriend just bought a German Shepherd puppy from a petstore in NJ and of course, think THIS pet store is a good one because it has a health guarantee, comes from a "breeder", has papers, etc. I was hoping to track down the real source so I could prove that this store is no different than the others. I keep having this argument over and over again, so I'd rather have some sort of evidence on my side for this particular case. Can anyone help? |

I think this is what your looking for. It's pinned under in the sub-forum Puppymills in the Breeder forum.

You can get a free report on the background of a pet store puppy here. It will even include inspection reports from the puppy mill he came from.

Oh wow! GSD can be very funny. We learned a very hard lesson when we got our first GSD back in 2001. The breeder wouldn't let me come to her house to see the parents or anything. Claiming that they were robbed a few years back, etc. She met us at the local gas station, where we just picked up our puppy and went on our merry way. Rebekka was nothing but a handful of problems from the get go. From eating her own poop, or any poop for that matter. To destroying property. She was so deathly afraid of anything loud, even a small rain storm would spook her so bad. My moms laundry room still has the remnants of the damage, 3 large holes where she ate through the wall and even ripped out the door frame. I finally had to rehome her at the age of 8 yrs old, because my mom couldn't handle her anymore. We tried training, everything. Nothing worked It was horrible! and she was a big dog and hard to handle if she didn't want you to. Good luck!!
