The University of Kentucky basketball coach and players had a "Big Blue Nation Cares" telethon last night to raise money for the American Red Cross. At least $500,000 was raised and donations are still coming in. Not bad for a local telethon.
Also, a lady in our community is filling a U-Hall with blankets and warm clothes to take to a New York rescue mission. I would love to hear stories of how other people in our nation and world are helping Sandy victims. Last edited by vjw; 11-08-2012 at 01:27 PM. |

That's so wonderful.
![]() We've seen volunteers coming in from all over including those from Louisiana who really know what this is all about. Restores my faith in people when many are so cynical.
