My sister-in-law is in the hospital as we speak for a hip replacement. Her blood pressure is so high the doctor said he can't do the surgery. She is talking about leaving, etc. Please pray for her BP to come down and she can have peace about getting this done. That God will guide her surgeon.

I will say a prayer for her. There are medications they can give to bring down her BP. Also, it might be high because of the pain. I hope they get it under control quickly so they can do the surgery today or tomorrow.

I ask my husband (he is in TX with the family) what they had done. She has been given some medications.....none of which I think will bring her BP down or get her calmed down. Why they don't give her something like Ativan I don't know!

Praying they get her blood pressure down quickly. A few years ago when my Mom had a bowel surgery, her BP went up to 209. The hospital staff panicked at that. Have no idea how she didn't have a stroke, but they managed to get it down with some kind of medication and by the next day it was in the 130's.
