Default I knew that this would happen .. Sooner or later!!

As many of you know, I've done childcare for almost 27 years. Well I received a call today, from one of the first toddlers that I cared for. She was three and her brother was an infant at the time . She is a teacher now, and was married a couple of years ago. She is expecting a new baby !!!!! She wants me to care for it!! Wow!! It just seems like yesterday, that I was potty training her, Time goes by so fast, I feel very honored that she wants me to care for her baby! I'm so excited!!!! Just wanted to share this!! You'd think that I'd be tired of babies by now, but my job makes me smile each and every day.

How exciting! Boy, doesn't time fly!
You must be so very special to her! What a huge compliment.
You are truly blessed to love your job so much, and I bet that all of the families that you work with feel so blessed to have you taking care of their little ones.

Awww that's sweet Deborah! You must be so wonderful at what you do!

When I was in highschool/college, I worked at a daycare in the Infant/Toddler room after school and during breaks...I LOVED it and wished I had continued with it. I had a little girl in my Toddler class who I just adored and she was really attached to me too (I know you shouldn't play favorites but she really was mine! ) I kept in touch with her and her family over the years and still visit with them every once in a while now...the little girl is 14 now! She recently got a Facebook account and added me...boy do I feel old every time I look at her page and see how much she's grown!

Whoops.....this would make me feel old...LOL!!!! But very happy

My daughter is 35 -not married and no children...so that makes me feel younger for some reason.... sometimes that's good...and sometimes it's sad.

I am proud of you for this great accomplishment.

I hope one day the kids I nanny for ask me to watch theirs. I love the kids so much, and I really feel more apart of their family instead of just an employee. I look forward to this one day!

Oh Deborah, that is so wonderful and touching and indeed a testament to what a wonderful child care provider you are. I know how important they are after having a son. I had the most wonderful loving sitters ever and trusted them with his life every day. It worried me so much with his life threatening food allergies but they were so careful. There's one I wish I could find now to see how she is. Congratulations.
