What you've been going through fo rso long. How strong you are...Keep at those doctors and nurses, make them listen and never let them tell you it's all in your head...
It's so hard to get them to listen,I know I went through it from both sides, being a nurse and a patient, you;d think they'd listen to me...not a chance... People have to take their health care into their hands and not for granted that healthcare will handle it... Good on you for making them look twice. Love and hugs and prayers...

Susan, I went in for my Avastin (part of bc treatment) and was fortunate to get a nurse who the doctors respect. She listened to me and went to work finding out what was going on. Got my transfusion, but sad to say this morning my lips and face are the same color again. She (nurse) told me I will probably be getting more blood Monday when I go in for my usual three week treatment. I just hope it's a quick fix they will find through my extra blood work they are doing. It is really concerning me.

Donna, I hope that you're feeling this morning. Sending prayers that they monitor you closer in the future.

Donna, have you asked your doctor about drugs called ESA's? They are drugs that stimulate red blood cell production. Common ones are Procrit and Epogen. This type of therapy might be helpful for you.
