Poor thing, he was so sad.

I see people leave their dogs in the car A LOT, especially these days. I guess a lot of people think it's okay if the weather is cool. I don't feel comfortable doing it regardless of weather. I've heard stories of small dogs getting stolen from cars and it scares me to death.

Don't know why people do that either. I see it a lot myself and get angry. I wouldn't leave Zoe in the car alone for 5 seconds. People just don't care I guess.

This is a sore spot with me. I am in total agreement with you - why do people do that? Would they leave an infant in a car?
Dogs are stolen from parked cars - never to be seen again. I'd rather my dog die than be stolen; I couldn't stand the wonder of their well being, being tortured or used as bait dogs for pit bull training or for research. It's unbearable for me to live with that unknown. People will say "but he/she loves to go, I just can't say no" - but that same little dog relies on us for their care and protection. If that same little dog knew the danger, I'm pretty sure they'd elect to stay home in their little safe bed. Texas law against leaving animals in cars in hot weather is strongly enforced. I believe the fine is $500. I've reported 2 sightings of this violation in the past few years.

They were there for Saturday brunch. I am sure that poor dog was left in there for more than an hour, probably more.

Yes, it's pretty disgusting. We don't eat out a lot anymore because of Gustave. He is more important than stupid brunch. We plan around his sleeping schedule so when we leave he can sleep at home. There are so many alternatives to leaving your dog in the car.

It really makes me angry to see a dog left in a car! I plan my outings with Leila to only go where she can go in with me. Otherwise, she is safe at home.

A girl I know left her yorkie in the car for five minutes while she dropped her daughter off at school and someone broke into the car and stole the dog. Lord only knows what happened to it.
