We got it we got it! I love this month’s Barkbox. So here is a review + show and tell in pictures.
Gustave knows it’s his box. ![]() “Give me my box already!!! OR I take it myself” ![]() Once we got him under control, here’s what was inside the box. ![]() Looking pretty good! Let’s look at the toy first. It’s a sqeaky reindeer! We were very impressed because it is just the right size for Gustave and doesn’t have problem areas we avoid in toys, for example..hair or threads dangling. Or rope. We like this! This is something we would’ve bought in a store for him. ![]() Next is this AMAZING cake mix from Puppy Cake (red velvet). So, I don’t know how good it actually is. But I am so excited to get this. Just this morning I was looking up ‘cupcakes for dogs’ on Google, because I wanted to bake some for Gustave for Christmas. Well, my wish has been answered. Also, this will be a lot easier for someone like me, who’s never baked before. ![]() Next is the most amazing smelling dog treats from Bocce’s Bakery. Trust me, I have never seen dog treats that smell this good. I am also liking the short ingredients list on there; Organic Oat flour, Antibiotic-free chicken, Pumpkin, Cranberries, Cinnamon. We gave one to Gustave already and he loved it. ![]() And last, Fresh dog oatmeal shampoo. I will report back after I try it on Gustave. He already uses an oatmeal shampoo and the ingredients look pretty similar, so it’s definitely worth a try. ![]() Overall, I am a pretty happy customer this month. I just wish they didn’t put those paper confetti things on there. I really wish I could let Gustave ‘unwrap’ these boxes himself. But well, if I did he would just eat those things. Not a deal breaker, we like Barkbox. Here is an invite code if you are considering this. You'll get 5% off your BarkBox order and I'll get referral points! Try PawBox. Similar service, they might deliver there? I like Barkbox company's ethics better but nothing wrong with PawBox either.

Looks good. Wondering two things -- I know that Bocce makes excellent, healthy treats - love that company. With the red velvet puppy cake -- for humans cocoa is usually what makes the cake red or else lots of red dye -- neither of which would be healthy for a dog in my opinion. What does it say in the ingredients? Also is the toy made in China or USA? I've really been trying to stay with US today. You wouldn't believe what my neighbor found in one of her dog's toys from China when she wanted to replace the squeaker.

The red is from beets. And the toy is made by Simply Fido. They sell organic toys, whatever that means. I threw away the label so I'm not entirely sure if the toy is made in USA but I think it is.
That's what I like about Barkbox, seems like they focus on quality. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

I think Simply Fido toys are made in China (Shanghai).
I love everything else about the product, but the fact that they are made in China (I am pretty sure anyway) totally misses the mark.
