Well, this may sound a little strange but "it could not have happened to a nicer person!"
 I am SO happy you have come so far and SO fast! Some of the best things in life are not planned. . . and maybe this is one of yours. Like Robin said---we are so glad you got out when you did. I hope things are moving along as well for your dear dad. The pups have weathered it all so well and you continue to be a beacon of hope & joy for the rest of us. Yep, life is good.
