Postponing Christmas ...
I started feeling a little under the weather yesterday.... a little worse this morning but not terrible...well I'm worsening by the hour! I know it will pass ..has to run its course...but no way can I get prepared for Christmas dinner here. I'd only have tomorrow and I don't see getting over this quite that quickly. I also had to give my friends time to 'accept' their other offers.
It was only going to be a few of us and I know they each have another option, so I don't feel as guilty as I would if that weren't the case. I think this is the first ever Christmas where I have had to cancel! Ok I've 'vented"... had my pity party... now back to bed!

Me too. With the surgery last Mon and the bronchitis now with a temp, I just can't. It will be strange, but I'll have my bbf with me

Terry - I know you're disappointed but you can just push yourself so far. Can you do a New Year's dinner instead? Maybe a simple get together with the same people as you would have on Tuesday. All your guests will be glad that you didn't pass on the bad cheer at the party -- one of my SIL's was sick one year and threw dinner for all of us. Out of 18 people, around 13 got sick. Most miserable Christmastime ever. And another time one of the children came to Christmas at our apartment - I think only 2 people escaped getting the worst stomach flu. Now we do a "Is everyone alright?" check.
Hope you feel better and try to have a Merry Christmas. At least you have your loved ones around - hubby, Quincy and Naddie.

I know how you feel. I hardly ever get sick and I've been down with influenza since Thursday and I even had a flu shot. Have all my kids and grandchildren coming tomorrow but don't have to worry about passing it on to the little ones, they were the ones who gave it to me. Hope you feel better soon.
