I hope you feel much better, and are able to really enjoy a day with your mom. But, if you still feel crappy, I know your mother would love to make you hot tea and stroke your forehead...mom's love the opportunity to coddle their children again.

I'm so sorry you're sick and hope you'll be able to enjoy your visit with your mom. What kind of heart problems do you have? There are cold medications now you can take if you have certain heart problems, like high blood pressure. I just saw a commercial the other day about one, but I can't remember the name. I'm sure you could ask your pharmacist and they could tell you what you can take to at least treat some of the symptoms. Hugs!

Praying you feel better!!
I just got over a bad cold... thought my head was going to explode.. ( BTW it didn't LOL ) I don't normally take much in way of meds.. usually try the old-fashioned 'helps' first... I just think some things simply need to run their course, but some helps do ease some of the nasty symptoms.. I swear by home made chicken soup and tea with honey and lemon. For a really scratchy throat or a constant cough a few spoons of honey trickling down the throat really does help!

I am so sorry to read that you have been so ill and hope that you start to feel better ASAP. I know how excited you are that you Mom was coming to see you and perhaps it worked out for the best that she is there right now to take care of you.

Oh Bridget, of course! I hope and pray that you continue to rest up and that your body starts feeling much better by Saturday
Maybe some honey tea can help hydrate you and soothe your throat. A little echinacea and zinc never hurts either. You will be able to enjoy your time with your mom. Rest up...

Hey Bridget, count me in for prayers---just back on line now & again.
I have not felt well for over a month & have several friends who have been in hospital w/my same "crud". I am not normally susceptible but my resistance is not great this year for some reason (I have some ideas on that one too). Do try to stay down as much as you can. I know you need that special time w/your mom so just reminding God about that. Sending a virtual hug your way & prayers continuing.
