I'm taking a break from taking down all the Christmas "junk" that I put up every year! I"m on my 6th hour, and still have another tree to take down, clean, and haul all the"stuff" from upstairs that goes back in place. I hear a big crash, and my reluctant teen age grandson falls with a box of ornaments!! I don't even want to know??? I'll check it next year! Why is it more fun to put up, than to take down?? Tomorrow I'll be glad I did it, but right now.... Not so much!

Most people I know keep their tree up until after the New Year! And, outside decorations and lights in our neighborhoods are lit until at least January 4th.

I think I am not brave enough like you to take the decorations down........... will wait until the new year!!!

New year for me as well. Mine will be taken down next weekend and I'm sure I will need to be shot as well. You're correct, putting it up is a lot more fun!

I hear you loud and clear on that....I am taking mine down next weekend and not looking forward to it at all. Hopefully the dropped box was packed well and all in one piece when you open it next year!

Mine will also be taken down after the New Year. I will especially miss our Tree and the Dept. 56 Villages.

I know what you mean!!! I think it's the christmas spirit of getting ready for Christmas, but after it's just a pain in the butt!!!
