Default Lots of changes

I just got the official call from Austria & was able to reach DH who is away this week & not very reachable, so now it is official---in a couple of weeks we will get formal confirmation but now at least we know that we will be getting a visa for Austria & moving there sometime this year! I am still in shock! There are only 60 places given each year WORLD WIDE in our category---we applied last yr. & were not near enough to the top so had to start over this year. It is a very complicated process.
This means I need to reorganize all my plans for this year! I'll start that tomorrow when Dwt. gets home. It will be hard for me to leave Greece but Dwt. is walking on cloud 9! I do love Vienna but I have grown to love so many people here too!

Congratulations! I didn't realize you were wanting to move. But I do hope all your planning goes smoothly.

Wishing you the best,Sandi!!Living in the same state, and only 3 different towns, I can't imagine living in different countries! I am such a homebody, needing to be near family, and close to home all the time, I don't think that I could do that ! I admire all who can.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Austria & we have been spending lots of time there, but I have also grown to be very much at home here---even if I don't speak the language. I have some great friends, love our apt. & neighborhood & LOVE the hot weather! I love my Monday street market and my egg-man! I will miss so much about this place! It is DH (and Marti in SC ) who has wanted to move for some years. He is traveling more & it would cut another long flight off his journey each time.

I know w/time I will be excited about Vienna. I know the city pretty well, do ok w/the language & it is very cultural. I have lived there 2 other times so not many surprises. But I am going to miss the quirks of Greece! It is true that we leave a piece of our heart wherever we go! There isn't much left of mine.

So start saving your pennies, and I promise I'll invite you to Vienna! Geez, if you can't come, then we will meet in Austin!
But you have already seen Austin, so move to the front of the line, please.
