Default Sense of Humor St. Anthony?

This is kind of funny - first know that I'm involved in an search for a missing senior maltese in our area. Possibly spotted yesterday being chased by a black dog. (That thread is Pray, Pray, Pray).

While searching for Abby and the "black dog", I met a man who lives in the neighborhood. He told me to pray to Saint Anthony for the missing dogs return. He said his mother completely believes in doing this. I told him I was Methodist not Catholic, but that I was certainly open to learning. So I repeated 9 x "Saint Anthony, please help us find the missing dogs".... I'm OCD so I said this more like 900 times over the course of the day . Well right as I was leaving the neighborhood for the day, this beautiful husky/german shephard mix walked by my car - no tags. Sweetest girl you've ever met - partially painted toenails and everything! I was exhausted but there was no way I was leaving a lost dog unattended...not going to happen. So, I put her in the car with me since I couldn't find her owner. Eventually a kind neighbor agreed to keep her in her yard and to track down the owner for me (I'm on overload with searching for the missing maltese Abby) and I don't live in their neighborhood.

The great news is that the owner was found and "Rosi" the husky/german shepherd mix has been reunited with her family .

The other news is that it appears Saint Anthony has either quite the sense of humor or he's a little busy with reuniting dogs. My prayer was to help me find the missing dogs. Ummmm....I meant Abby .

I guess you need to be more specific Bridget! Lost dog was reunited , just not the right one!! Reminds me of my realtor telling us to bury St. Joseph when trying to sell your house. She said someone buried it , but was facing away from the house. That house didn't sell, but the house across the street did! LOL

I just wanted to say that you are an angel for helping this owner find her dog. As someone who've experienced having a missing pet (my Riley has sadly never been found), I cannot tell you the depth of gratitude we feel for people like you who reach out and help in our search. I was lucky enough to have my friends and family help my fiance and I look for Riley.

And I prayed to St. Anthony as well. It gave me comfort, somehow.

I really, really hope you find her.

I've been praying to St. Francis.. he's patron Saint of animals.... Hadn't thought to bring St. Anthony in on it . I have to say I truly have had things found when praying to St. Anthony...even in places already looked ... Ok Off to call on St. Anthony!

Default Sense of Humor St. Anthony?

I guess St Anthony didn't get the memo that it was a small dog. so go for specifics today. This made me think of the 1980's and I was producing a tv show and many co-workers and i were married around the same time. There was a shoot in Jamaica and one person brought back a fertility doll. That person soon became pregnant. Some others were having problems so we all passed the doll along wrapped in a blanket. Each of us ended up pregnant when we had the doll.😳I have no idea where it ended up but somewhere, maybe a yard sale, there's a ticking timebomb
