My daughters are Musical Theatre majors and their University's production of "Annie" is about to open. Starring as "Sandy", the homeless dog, is a REAL homeless dog rescued from a shelter and placed in Missouri's "Pets in Prison" program for training.

If you want to read an article guaranteed to make you smile, read this! I bet there will be a line of people lining up to adopt "Sandy" after seeing him in the play! My daughters can't wait for him to start rehearsing with them this week!

My daughters can't wait to start working with him this week during rehearsals. I'm bracing myself for the inevitable phone call from them: "MOM! YOU HAVE TO ADOPT HIM!!!"

I've heard that in most areas where they're doing this production they use a shelter dog. I think that's absolutely fantastic and a great tribute to how wonderful these animals can be.
