I'm a "Newbie"
Hello all,
First of all, pls forgive me for starting a "new thread," didn't intend to...couldn't figure out how to simply add my post to the current one.  Just registered today after searching for a site where I can gain knowledge on the Maltese breed, as well as make new friends who love these amazing dogs as much as I do. I've had my Maltese, Buckeye, for almost two weeks and I am quite smitten with him to say the least. I live in Ohio and me and my family are OSU Buckeye fanatics (hence the name, "Buckeye").  Hi Darla. Welcome to you and Buckeye. Don't apologize for starting a new thread. You're supposed to here. That's how we meet new members. You'll find out so much about Maltese and taking care of them here. I got my little Tyler 5 months ago and SM helped me find him and answered any questions I had. Hope you take some time to look around the site and post some pix of your new baby. How old is he?

 Buckeye is 12 weeks old and so much fun! I love him so much...my family loves him too but they get a chuckle out of me. I think I've bought him something new almost every day since we got him. As a matter of fact, just about to open a pkg just delivered to me containing some new clothes for him. Another good thing is that Buckeye has two brothers and my parents have them. They got them first, they showed me a pic of them and I had to go and get the final one. So, they'll be kept together.

We're in Ohio too. This is a great place to learn about Maltese, health and just plain fun things too. We have 4 Malts, a Cocker and a cat.

Did any of your dogs ever have tearstains? Buckeye does and I'm trying to find a safe way to treat them. Any advice would be appreciated.
