Your babies are adorable! Welcome to SM! I have a 16.5 week old named Sophie, she'll be getting her rabies vaccine at 18 weeks, but I'm pretty sure fluffs need to be at least 16 weeks old before they get their rabies vac

Welcome!! She is a cutie!
Honestly, I like to wait as long as possible to give the rabies vaccination, so I usually do it a few days before they are 6 mos. Just make sure your vet does it BY ITSELF with nothing else, like other vaccinations, heart worm, flea meds, etc. Less chance of a reaction.

Welcome to SM!! Your babies are adorable. Did you bring Emme to the vet for a checkup. They will better guide you as to when she should have her rabies and other shots if she hasn't already had them. Hope you stick around and post more pics of your precious furbabies.

I did. She is very healthy and did well with her shot last Saturday. My vet has said wait until she is older but, they called me Wednesday and asked if i wanted to schedule it this Friday. My emme was born 08/18/2012...does that make her 13 or 14 weeks? Of course I will continue to add tons more pics of this little ones.

They are both adorable!
Check with your vet and also your state/local requirements. Some places require the shots between 4 - 6 months, while others have slightly different requirements. Tessa was a rescue so she came with her shot, but I got Sweetness' rabies shot in September which put her at a week or two over 6 months.

They are both so cute!
Here, they give the rabies vaccine at 4 months. Leila was about 4 1/2 months because the vet said to wait until then because of her other booster schedule. It made me feel better that she (vet) didn't try to get me to get so many shots for her at one time. |
