Kaylla and Khloee

Hi Everyone,

I've been turning to this site forever it seems in preparation for my little Khloee's arrival. I've only owned akitas before, so having a maltese is a whole new experience! I have to say, I've learned so much from this site! It's invaluable, and I am so happy to be able to learn from everyone's experiences and expertise.

Some background on my little girl. I had been talking to Linda of China Doll Maltese located in Glendale, AZ. She didn't have a girl available for me, but we hit it off, and I asked her to keep me in mind for the future. She, like so many breeders, only has 1 or 2 litters a year, so I was settling in for a long wait. Imagine my surprise and excitement when she called me about Khloee (then temporarily named Cuddles).

An older couple in Prescott had bought a female from Linda 4 years ago. Then earlier this year, they studded out a male from Linda. They are not breeders, but they wanted to see Zoie (mom's name) have the experience of being a mother, and see her puppies. I can understand this as we felt the same way with my last akita, KC, but we never went through with it.

Unfortunately, 2 weeks after giving birth Zoie was killed by coyotes She left 2 boys and 2 girls behind. The couple have been doing such an amazing job taking care of the puppies, and made finding them good homes a priority. That's when Linda referred them to me, and the rest will be history.

I get Khloee next Wednesday, and am SOOOOO excited to have my baby girl home I hope that the 2 of us are welcomed and can become regulars on SM!

Congratulations! She is adorable. I am looking into an AZ breeder myself. Does she still have boys available?

They actually do have both of the little boys still! They are so adorable (pic below) !!! Do you live in AZ?

Awwe Khloee is adorable! Welcome to SM! Ann and I are first time Maltese owners ourselves and we too have learned so much from our SM family.

Thank you all so much for the open arms! I feel like no matter how much I learn, there is always SO much more I don't know When I bring Khloee home, you can bet there will be pictures galore! But until then, here are some more of my baby girl
