Nancy - great advice from everyone. I take Tyler for a grooming every three weeks. She trims his sanitary areas, the hair on his paw pads, his nails and trims around his face and coat where he needs it. You just have to watch that you don't clip the quick and have stiptic powder on hand for if you do.
Mia's adorable and sounds like a perfect addition to your family. Did you rescue her?

Mia is gorgeous, you must be very happy to care for this sweet little girl. I take Lucky to the groomers very 6 weeks and to the vets every 6 weeks on overlapping schedules. The both do nails and express anal glands, so he gets it done every 3 weeks. He is an indoor dogs, so his nails grow quickly. I leave food down 24/7, but I have to feed him by hand. But it is there if he gets hungry. I will try and get him to eat in the morning and at suppertime, sometimes he will decide to eat once a day. I also give him veg in the evening and usually he will have a scrabbled egg in the morning.
