I must say that he is the biggest Maltese I've ever seen but he looks all Maltese, well proportioned, and is very handsome! He's just a bigger bundle of love than most!

He really does look maltese. 16 lbs, wow. I carry Lucky 6 lbs everywhere when we go out, not sure 16 lbs would fit in my carrying bag. He does look so warm and cuddly, glad you have each other.

Holy moly he is a massive Maltese!! That made me chuckle but in a good way because he's so darn cute and happy looking! My boy is big too at 12 lbs, so not a purse dog. I always say I'd need a suitcase to tote him around. Looks like you would too! Welcome to SM!!

He is a handsome boy! I have no idea when Leila will stop growing or what weight she will wind up being. The breeder had said she would be 3.5-4 lbs fully grown and both of her parents are 4 lbs. but I guess the big gene jumped in from somewhere in her lineage. At 6 months, she is already 7.5 lbs. I'm so glad you posted a picture of him while holding him because of two reasons. The first reason is so we can see you too and the second is so I can get a better idea of how a larger Maltese looks. It's harder to tell in pictures the actual size when they are just by themselves. Welcome to SM!

Lucus is very adorable. My Pipper is on the bigger side too, he weighs around 12 pounds.
