Hi all, just joined the forum to learn more about the maltese breed. I am currently fostering (and will adopt) a fantastic Morkie puppy - I also have a 7 yr old Yorkie and know a lot about them but am here to learn more about Maltese.
I have been looking a little on the forum and see people mentioning seizures and high bile acids, liver shunt, etc. I have gone through all that with my Yorkie but now proud to say he has been seizure free for 11 months and counting after having one every 7-10 days for almost two years. I am looking forward to looking at all the forum posts which I am sure have a wealth of information. Thanks, Jenn |

Thank you! First thing I have learned is that my Ollie looks a lot more Maltese than he does Yorkie - I have been looking at all the adorable pictures everyone has posted- Ollie looks like a pure maltese in the front with the exception of a beige stripe going down his back. I have been reading all the threads on tear staining and am so happy to hear that it may calm down after he turns a year old. I just bought the facial scrub everyone mentioned on Amazon and am working with my Vet (holistic) to see about helping with herbs. I home cook so I know he is not having any food issues - we will see
.
