Default Hello from Sydney, Australia

Hello everyone!

I'm from Sydney, Australia. I have a 6 1/2 year old male maltese named Mocha. I got him when he was 8 weeks old from a friend on my birthday and he has been the joy of my life ever since.

Mocha was born with a mouth deformity (cleft lip/palate), that's why he has a visible teeth and an under-bite. He is my little unique baby boy.

I would also like to get everyone's opinion on Mocha. For the past 2 days, i have been thinking he might be mixed? He is 6.5kg, his hair is straight/wavy when i give him a bath, but after a few days he hair becomes wavy/curly. What do you think? I can post more photos of him if you like. I don't mind if he is mixed, i just want to know so i can discover another side of him i never knew about!

I'm so happy i found this forum! Now we can all share our love and happiness.

To me your little Mocha looks like a Malt. And depending what shampoo I use, sometimes Chrissy's hair is also curly after a bath. I am sure that there will be others that will be coming along to answer your questions.

Thank you for your warm welcome and lovely comments. I am loving everybody's avatar and signature, beautiful and gorgeous fluffs.

I guess he is just a big maltese dog? He weighs just over 14 pounds.

Mocha looks like a cute malt to me, Jodi's hair is a little wavy when wet too, his hair is more cottony, not silky.

Mocha is precious - I can see why you are crazy about him. I love those big dark eyes, hard to resist giving him whatever he wants with just one look with those dark pools.

He's all Maltese; I'm sure - short hair often waves or curls up. I'm guessing it's the Bichon influence within the breed.
