I'm looking for my 3rd maltese love of my life - Maltese Dogs Forum : Spoiled Maltese Forums

Hi Everyone ,
I'm glad I found this Maltese site.

I live in Sydney Australia. I had two beautiful Maltese in my life time. They both died of old age. Chuck died in my June 2010 and my little Ricky died in November 2012.

I miss them both and I'm sure they are with my dad in heaven(I lost my dad to cancer March 2012)

I miss him heaps too.
My mum and I are starting to look for a new puppy pure breed Maltese as we are excited to add a new addition to the family . We are having no luck at the moment as I'm looking for a reputable breeder who preferably shows too as I think the ones who don't are backyard breeders and I certainly don't want to support a pet shop.
I nearly got one last week but I pulled out as I think the breeder wasn't completely honest from day one. I saw her pups when they were 3 days old. She refused to show me where she kept the dogs and she couldn't even at least provide a photo or name of the sire. Red flag!! I thought to myself so I cancelled the adoption. She was rude and rudely defensive when I questioned her about a few things. So I walked away and never would recommend her to anyone.
I have spoken to other show dog Maltese breeders and they all gave me thumbs up

for walking away.
I need patience no matter how keen I feel about having a puppy right now. I guess good things come to those who wait

If anybody can give me any suggestion on finding a puppy Maltese , please share it with me.
I love Maltese dogs and hope I find my little friend soon.

I will PM you the name of an excellent breeder who also shows---she is Perth, however. You can also search Scoobydo (Janet) on this forum---she just got a little pup from this same breeder in Dec. & he is "above adorable." Let us know what happens!

Welcome! Yes, patience pays off. I almost got a pet store puppy, and then almost got a BYB puppy but I'm glad I waited till I could find one from a good breeder.

I Respect That Fact That You Know When There are Red Flags.
And Wont Buy Just Anywhere. You Must Have been a great furbaby mom,iam sure you will be again-really soon.
