I usually stop because she's pulling away so much that her eyes are turning all white from the stretching. It just freaks me out and I don't want to hurt her.

Tori, that sounds like a great idea!! Dewey's breeder had already started him on putting his head down to do a top knot, so he does it already. Even though
Laurel allows me to put the top knot in, she doesn't put her head down, I might try the donut.Violet (Yorkie) never had a top knot when she was a puppy, but now she does, and when I first one in her hair she automatically put her head down! Everything's been easy with Violet.

I wash everyone's face and comb them every morning and after they are done we go get a treat. I would just be consistent and she will eventually just expect it. Patience, patience, patience.

I am scared to ever put Bella in a top knot again I used the no pull baby bands and when i took her for her 1st grooming she noticed a bump and bruise where the top knot was OMG!!!! I felt awful she said i made it too tight
