Any recommendations on how to get rid of the red tear stains? My puppy is 4 months old.

I suggest you go to the grooming forum here and read some of the posts. As you might imagine we have had the subject come up over and over.

Since your puppy is 4 months old its very possible that the tear staining is from teething. This will last a few more months. The best thing to do would be to wash the face everyday, most of us here use Spa Lavish Face Wash. It is important to keep the area as dry as possible.

I hear you I really struggled with Daisy's tear stains now at 5 months its getting better now i used spa lavish every other day. I then used cotton bud and dipped in Luke warm water and rubbed the hair around her eyes. Following this I then combed through the brown tear stains so that it wouldn't harden and any gunk was brushed away. I did this three times a day
