this is my second week with paris, her breeder just trimmed her nails when I picked her up...how will i know when to trim again and is there a preferred tool that you can recommend?

What tools do I need to give her a puppy cut at home?

For nails... I used a cat nail clipper (the tiny ones) for Grace until she was bigger.

I'd have your vet show you how to do it if you haven't done it on a little dog before....

For grooming... She probably won't need a clip for awhile... I didn't need to do Grace until after her 6 mo birthday.

But if you are going to do it, you need a good pair of clippers -- I think there are some threads on here with the ones people use.... Do a search for Clippers

I'd also recommend a grooming table. I am wanting to get a small one for Grace. Gus is larger and easier to groom on the floor. But Grace is so small she has to be up on something.

I'm sure others will chime in with more details

will do the clipper search. seems like each puppy cut comes out looking different that's why I keep asking. When it's time for paris, I want her to still look fluffy not shaved. but will keep searching. thank you

I ordered my nail clippers from toplinepet.com. I haven't used them yet, but can let you know how I like them when I do use them. They fit in my hand really well.
