Took Ollie to the groomer at our vet to get his nails cut. For $19 she bathed and blew him dry, cut his nails, cleaned his ears, and cleaned up the bottom of his feet! This will become something I do every 2 weeks from now on. The difference between their work was unbelievable! I could see the new girl wanted to say something about how he looked, but wanted to stay professional. I started telling her how I wanted him to look but wasn't getting it. Anyway, she showed me where she had evened him up and where he was just chopped. I had seen these places but didn't want to say anything to the other groomer. Ollie seemed very calm when I picked him up and she picked him up while we were talking and he was cuddling up to her (don't know if I like that!!). Hoping this will be a positive move! She does charge a little more for grooming, but I'm sure it will be worth every penny!

It's important to feel like you can trust the place that you bring them for grooming. I must say $19 for all that is a bargain. A bath and a blow dry where I live is $45. I am sure Ollie looks great!!

I liked the other groomer, but was so amazed at how much cleaner, etc. he looked when I picked him up from the new girl. First groomer dried him in a crate with blower on him so he never really was full. This girl actually blew dried him and whatever she bathed him in smells so fresh and seems to repel dirt! I think the full groom here is either $40 or $45 at the new place. Old place was $30-$35 for full groom.

I too live in PA (the Lancaster area) and there are a good number of Groomers. Unfortunately, ours was going to close her shop since she has a full time job. I will miss her since our Snuggles really loves her and has no problems being there with her.

I'm happy for you. It must felt strange to see your baby cuddling with the groomer but hey, better this way right? Here where I live it cost $15 only to trim his nails... oh boy!
