Heart What causes the feet to be red tinged

Why do her feet appear slightly red? The same thing that causes the eye stains? Would the Milk of Magnesia work on the feet and does anyone use it around the eyes???

I read somewhere that the red stains on the feet are from the dye in their food.

Prob from chewing the toes, or licking!!! Sammie has a toe nail he hurt somehow and he licks it so his coat right there is red. I have not been able the get the red off. I assume it will grow out when he fully stops.
Also. I just fenced my yard and noticed they lick the feet if they get dirty. So I rinse feet off now.

Not a lot. I think its just bad habit more than anything. I can redirect her and she stops...or just goes to sleep.

Maddie does this! I've taken to 3 vets about a million times for it because she licks it so bad. She has two deformed toes from her puppyhood so that is why she licks it more but it is red. Everyone is always scared of her foot. I'll have to take a picture of it. I try to redirect her. Also if the fur is trimmed good she doesn't bother it as much.
