Hi, I hope this isn't a stupid question but to those of you that take your babies to a groomer, do you tip and if so how much?

My groomer is $40 and I usually tip $10. I would imagine 20% is enough, but I'd rather just make it an even number and keep the groomer happy. She DOES have possession of my baby for a few hours, after all.

$5.00 and the cuts are always so bad--i would tip $10.00,but iam always in tears when i see Yogi* Cuts are $30.00-35.00 in my town.
But you get what you pay for.

I feel bad, but I don't tip, I feel paying almost $50 for a tiny dog is enough, but I see I am in the minority here! I also don't tip to have here boarded.....it is $22 a night and I think that is enough!

Our groomer charges around $35 so we round up to $40.

Thanks everyone. Our vet has grooming so that is where I will take Oakley. I was thinking between $5 and $10

My groomer has a pet mobile so she came home, it's more expansive but I like the convenience plus she is awesome and Dominic loves her. It takes 1 1/2 hours is $80 and I give her $100.

I don't tip every time. I only like to tip if London was matted or if they do an exceptional job. I tip $5, never more, never less. I pay $40-$45 for a full groom (plus tip) and I think that is high enough considering it is 1 to 1 1/2 hours of actual work start to finish.

I do 95% of the grooming on my own. I only take London to the groomer as a treat to myself occasionally because she is difficult to groom (for me; she is an angel at the groomer, I've watched her before!). I take her in about 2 times a year and do her myself the rest of the time.
