Default Oil treatment

Teddy is getting an oil treatment today. I just poured warm olive oil diluted with some water all over his coat. Now will let it set while I get my daughters ready for school, then I will give him his bath when I get back.

HAHA so cute...let us know how that goes although I can't imagine trying to keep Izzy from getting it everywhere while its on her. Or licking it until it makes her sick, LOL

Just curious, what is the purpose of the oil? Is Teddy's coat dry?

How do you get the oil and water to stay mixed? And I'm curious too why you are doing this ?

It has been warm and windy all week so coat drier than usual. Today bath day so thought since olive oil treatments work wonders on human hair should work on his. His hair is silky soft now, but did have to do an extra wash to get excess oil out.

I put baby oil on my first Maltese. Not diluted just on from the bottle. It took several baths to get the oil out. I even had to use Dawn dish washing sop to finally get it all out. Never again.

Aww he looks so sad LOL

I use coconut oil on my two... it works great and have never had issues getting it out. Just usually have to shampoo twice.

Coconut oil makes them smell really good Plus it's a natural whitener (for those with white fluffs)
