Confused Itchy Maltese

Ava is a very itchy girl, no matter what I bath her in she itchies. She is fed grain free food and bathed every 2 weeks. But she is itchy all the time. Her feet are stained from her chewing on them.

Any thoughts or ideas I could try? She is 9 months old.

You might want to consider getting an allergy test done to find out what she is allergic to. If her feet are wet all the time from the licking she might also have some kind of fungus. Just guessing not a doctor

I will call the vets office and see about the allergy testing and having her checked for fungus.
Thanks
Sue & Ava

Good article, thanks for sharing. I have done a lot of reading and have tried a lot of things, think it is time to make a vet appt and see what he has to say.
Thanks,
Sue & Ava

Laurel has environmental allergies. She'll itch some, her eyes get red, and she even got conjunctivitis. The vet told me to give her Benadryl. It was the worst last summer when it was really dry .
