My little baby Khloe will be 6 months on the 21st and she has quickly become the princess of the whole family. She is very loved and taken care of, perhaps even a bit spoiled (: But lately she has been acting a little strange. She will growl if someone picks her up to take her inside. If I try to get sticker burrs out of her hair (big problem in south texas) she will growl and even snap at me! This has all started since I quit my job where she and I would spend all of our days together when I got her. Now we are both home with my family and for the most part she is happy and playful, it's just those times when she'll snap! I don't want anyone to be hurt by her, so what do I do? Potty training etc is going very successfully and she has learned her name quite well... I'm thinking I might have to look in to some obedience classes if she doesn't improve. We had a poodle growing up who was aggressive like this her whole life... I don't want khloe to be that way! Anyone else ever have this problem? Maybe the change in environment or is she just too spoiled? Any tips? Please and thanks!
Love, Michele & Khloe |

Michele, you are right to be aware and concerned about the snapping. It is not okay and may certainly get worse. Hopefully one of the other members can recommend an excellent trainer or behavioralist in your area. Best wishes.

Khloe is sweet
![]() I do hope someone in your area comes on with some names, like Bridget said Because yes, the growling and snapping needs to stop fast.Until that happens I'd suggest looking into the NILF (Nothing In Life is Free) method for her. It basically helps establish you as the "boss", which will help her growling. Right now she thinks she is the boss! NILF is an easy way to help teach her boundaries and self control. I know they are cute... but they can sure become little terrors! You don't want to end up with an armpit piranha!

Khloe has become a teenager now that she is six months old, full of her self and pushing the boundaries. You need to establish yourself as in charge now or her behavior will only get worse.
I agree with Tory. Start using the Nothing in Life is Free program. Nothing in Life is Free |

I agree with the others. She needs to know who is boss....and its not her. She needs to understand its you. I think you can correct that now before it gets out of hand. Good luck and BTW Khloe is adorable!!
