This week was a rough one at our house. My daughter stayed here last weekend with Kissy and Kissy became ill. She had diarrhea and woke Alison up several times during the night on Saturday night. Despite the diarrhea, she ate, drank,and even ran around like normal. I made her chicken and rice and that seemed to help. Well on Tuesday, Ben came down with the same thing and by Wednesday morning, my 100 lb. black lab also had it.

By this time, I had everyone eating chicken and rice and I was praying that the other 3 didn't get sick. All I was doing was cleaning floors, dog beds, and dogs ... it was horrible !!!! So here we are on Saturday, and everyone is healthy again

and I'm hoping that we're done with whatever it was.

Alison thinks that Kissy may have caught something that their shoes tracked into their apartment. They live in Hoboken, which was flooded, and sewage also mixed with the flood waters

, not to mention the garbage that is piled up from flooded basements and apartments.... so I think that they could have brought germs in. They went home and cleaned their place and started taking their shoes off when they get home just in case.

So, this week was one that I don't want to repeat ever again.

So sorry to hear that the pups and you had such a rough weekend last week, poor pup pups and you. Happy to hear that everyone is feeling alot better now. That does make sense that it could have been something tracked in by their shoes. Now hopefully everyone will stay healthy.

Deb, so sorry to hear that....after everything that happened with the storm it was the last thing all of you needed. Thank goodness they are all back to normal.

Oh my gosh Deb! What a trying week!!! You sound like Elaine, all nine of hers had that same problem last week.....ewwwwwwww....

Oh my Debbie, as though you needed the extra mess, or stress!

You have all my sympathy---I hate barf & messy poop! When my girls were little & vomited my first inclination was to put my hand over their mouth---didn't do it, but thought it!

I am glad it is better. . . sending you a big hug and wishing for better days ahead!

Gosh Debbie...that sounds awful..I hope everyone is doing well today..I saw a news report that said raw sewege is in Hudson Bay, too..take care
