Liesl getting rabies shot - Maltese Dogs Forum : Spoiled Maltese Forums

Some of you may remember that in the spring Lisi had an anaphylactic reaction to a shot at the vets office (not rabies). I have spent a good part of this week trying to chase down a TF rabies shot, but I am about to believe there "ain't no such animal in this kingdom." I have chased enough rabbits to make a huge pot of stew!

Lisi was not w/us for her first rabies so am not sure what to expect for this shot. It has to be done NOW as it will become overdue on Sun. and one day overdue here means she has to wait 30 days after the new shot before she can travel. We are already scheduled to travel w/the pups mid-Dec.

So. . . I think we will just do what we have to do & go for it tomorrow! My vet does not want me to pre-dose w/benadryl. I will stay around the office for a while just to make sure we are good to go!
Poor thing, at the groomers for 3 hrs. today & tomorrow to the vet!

and next week w/a sitter for a week-plus! She will be looking for a new home soon!

I hope all goes well with her shot. This is her second year one??? Laurel was a little funky acting(not much energy, and then a lump developed at the site) but the next day, she was fine. It didn't bother the Yorkies at all. Praying all goes well!

Will send some extra prayers up for her... Hope it all goes well.

Grace has not had her's yet. Waiting until after the spay. So anxious over it. Will be the first vaccine since the accident.

I was so nervous when Gio had his first rabies a few weeks ago, but he was fine. I'm hoping Lisel will come through this fine! Keep us posted and give her a kiss for me!
