Seems my only posts here have been 'whining' about something or other... BUT!... just got back from vets.
Quincy was due for his check-up ( and first time to meet the new vet)...due for heartworm check and eyes checked. Naddie was due for the da*n rabies shot! ( grrr!) They both needed anals done, and nails clipped. So HAPPY to report Quincy's dry eye issue is resolved!!!! His tear production is in the high range. She did suggest I keep up with the Genteal eye drops. He hasn't had the Sandimmune in at least 6 weeks and she said I'd only need to use it if eyes should start to get 'goopy, red, irritated etc. She said she's found sometimes it is related to seasonal irritants. As I had posted some time ago... the fatty deposits have disappeared too! ...dbl ![]() .Quincy's teeth are still the 'problem area'. She suggested I try the TD dog food ...for TREATS!...but to continue 'meals' / supplements as I've been doing. They'll be helpful to Naddie too though she doesn't build up plaque like Quincy does. The gal I know at front desk said her dogs loved the TD and has really helped her dogs teeth so I'm willing to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised to see the bill was only $ 181.45! That was office visit for 2 dogs ( they do discount second dog..) heartworm test anal glands on both Nails on both ( they didn't charge) Naddie's rabies Schirmer test for dry eye ( didn't charge) Bag of the TD Box of Heratgard. BTW I was told if dogs didn't like or had trouble with the TD.. to just bring it back for credit. Been abt hour and half since Naddie's shot... no signs of problem ( she never has but I still always have a concern). Now we can 'relax' with that for 3 years!!...thank GOD! Of course I can't help but wonder what goes on 'behind the scenes' with this shot but pray all will be OK.

Terry - indeed very good news, Terry.
![]() You are due, girlfriend Amazing with Quincy's eyes!! Such great news and glad all else went well. Tyler is a toothy problem kid too. I'm sure we'll need a dental again this year in Feb. What is TD??? Let me know how it works. If it's any sort of dog food I know Tyler won't touch it with a 10 foot pole. Keep up the great work with them

Terry that is such good news. So happy all went well at the vet. I must say that is very reasonable. My vet visits are much more and I don't have half of that done on one dog.

For those who asked... "T/D" is actually a prescription dog food... but I'm only giving a couple pieces of the 'kibble' a day to each. I have the larger ones for them to chew on. They do come in a smaller size I believe.
Their meals/supplements are staying the same ...these are just treats to help the plaque. They do love them !!!...but I'm not crazy about the ingredients.. so will be seeking a similar type thing I think. Though , I've tried loads of ones I feel are 'safe' and they either didn't like them... or threw them up... so will try these as I continue the search. At only two-3 pieces per day I'm not too concerned. Quincy will be getting his dental probably in Feb.... that's one year since the last.... Naddie,.. who knows? she does well with her teeth. Quincy didn't get any blood panel today... going to wait and do it pre-dental in Feb. Naddie had her full panel in July and all was PERFECT!!! ![]() They're both 9 years old and I feel such gratitude for they both are pretty darned healthy! ...( knock-wood)

That is really good news. However, I can't help but wonder what Naddie and Quincy have to say about the situation.
(Okay, you know I love N/Q dialogue. Now that all is well, I think you should make us happy. Please.)

Great news!
Always such a relief to have happy vet visit. Especially wonderful news about Quincy's eyes. I know it is unusual for dry eye to be resolved, so that is just great! Whatever you are doing must really be helping.
