My 9 wk old Maltipoo Ted seems to always be hungry. I feed him three times per dAy the amount of food recommended by his doctor. But when the food goes in the bowl it's gone in 30 seconds or less (I timed it). I don't want him to be hungry like that but I want to trust my vet because I worry about over feeding him since he's so little. I feel bAd because he scarfs his food like I haven't fed him in days. Any suggestions?

My Yorkies are like that, plus they are always searching the floor for any crumbs . If he's gaining and the vet thinks that his weight is OK, you must be feeding him the right amount. You can give him veggies in between meals to satisfy him and not add extra calories.

Make sure to cook the carrots
![]() He is a growing puppy. His weight is going to change drastically in the next few weeks.... so he may need more food. I always let my puppies eat as much as they wanted - I'd measure portions and give 1 TBS extra at a time. They would stop when full. Once they have matured and are not growing so quickly I start limiting their food. I've never had an overweight dog doing this. Puppies grow fast... If he is hungry... feed him. Measure it so you know how much extra he is getting.
