Quincy had been having a little 'gimp' on and off but went to where he wasn't putting any weight on the right hind leg. Got him to vet and she said his ligament is way off to the side as well as kneecap.
Said everything so very tight that she couldn't 'manipulate' it back into place. I'm to massage.... got anti-inflammatories... even 'soak in warm tub then massage. Howeve,r that is just for 'now'.... surgery is needed. I had asked if we could postpone until Begining of Jan. I just have so so much going on right now... hubby's Blood pressure still not in good range... his Blood glucose a bit off as well.( several more Dr appts on the calendar) SIL in hospital... etc. etc. etc... and when surgery I want to be able to give full attention to Quincy. She said that was fine... but... She wants the surgeon to see him and go over the surgey involved. She did show me a 'model' that revealed just want is going on but wanted the surgeon to go over in more detail. She said best if we can try to get things a bit more 'relaxed' for him to evaluate... so will give it week then see how that is. He did Missy's knees as well, though hers was torn ACLs ..( not the case with Quincy). She did recoup beautifully! soooo here I am 'whining' once again.... a bit more stress added in to the mix here! Think it's time to do more 'wining... instead of "whining!" maybe that would make me feel better and give you all a 'break" LOL

Oh, dear. When it rains, it pours, huh? With such a great nurse I know Quincy will do just fine, but definitely not what you need to deal with right now!

Yes, well this wasn't exactly what you needed!!!!!
I know more about puppy knees than I wish I did---and most of it is negative! I hope they can help your little guy & the sooner the better. Big kisses little guy, and feel better ASAP!

Awww I'm sorry that Quincy needs surgery but it sounds like you know what to expect and will be a wonderful post op nurse to him. I hope the inflammation goes down until then... Will be thinking of you two and praying for the best!
