Update on Paris - Maltese Dogs Forum : Spoiled Maltese Forums

I gave her the 1ML of mineral oil mid day yesterday, she finally had pooped about 11 pm last night. NO difficulties at all. Her stool was long too. I checked her bottom when she was done, no mess and no blood.

So far today, she made poop this morning and there was no problem. I'm holding off on giving her another dose of mineral oil for now.

Hope this problem is over.

It's it funny that us crazy dog ladies rejoice over a perfect poop?

So the blood was from her straining?? So glad that she's getting "regular!"

So happy she feels better. I would keep an eye on the poop to make sure there isn't any blood.

There's 3 major things that I started yesterday that could've helped her...

1- gave her the mineral oil
2- I started her on a feeding schedule
3- started introducing her to new kibble

Still not exactly sure where the blood came from, I figured that straining was the cause??

The vet called me today and to check to see how she was doing, will call him tomorrow with the better news.

YES!!! Kinda gross but I'm always excited when she does it and if she goes on her spotty...whoa she'll get extra loving and praise!
