We've had her a week today. We had to babysit for the grandkids on New Year's Eve. They also have a 70 lb dog that I wasn't too sure about. His idea of playing is pouncing. I took her crate along and she stayed in it during the time we were there except when I walked her and when we went to bed. Then we closed and locked the door and took her to bed with us. The kids are 4 and 8. They were good with her and we had no issues with them. She allowed them to pet her and I let the 8 year old hold her while I supervised. She wasn't thrilled with the dog. But, as long as she was in her crate he could get as close as he wanted and she didn't care. Outside the crate, she let him know not to come too close. But she was never out of my arms or the crate the whole time we were there.
