Default Belle goes for her spay next week :(

Hey guys!

I am dreading having to drop my sweet little girl off at the vets to get spayed

I'm bringing her to a different vet than my normal one, I'm paying a little bit more & driving a little further but they are very well known as one of the best surgeons around my area, complete with a CBC, she's getting micro-chipped & I'm sure they're going to have to remove some baby teeth (she has two sets of canines on the bottom right now...she looks like a little piranha lol!.

I just hate the thought of something going wrong! I've been reading WAY too many horror stories on the internet about dogs & anesthesia...ugh why do I do this to myself?!?! Did everyone freak out like I am leading up to the spay??

Oh yes!! We all worry about our fluffs when there is a procedure involving anesthesia. I'm sure that Bella will be fine and I'll lift her up in prayer.

I just realized Sophie goes in for her spay in 2 weeks! Now I'm nervous! I'm sure Bella will be just fine, you seem to have done your research!

Yes, we all freak out....lol. It is okay to feel this way, its your baby. She will be fine and it seems like you have picked out a place your comforable with. That certainly makes a difference. Sending prayers to Belle and her Mommy.

Gustave went just before his 6mo anniversary too. His breeder wanted him to go at 5mo and I know this topic is controversial but since both our vet and the breeder had a similar opinion we went with it.

She'll be 5 mo jan. 6, I though Sophie and Gucci had the same birthday? Our vet does spay between 20-24 weeks, and Sophie will be 22 weeks when she goes in. Time has flown by, I can't believe she's old enough, but she is!

They do have the same birthday, but my vet was going to do her spay at 6 months. Does that seem wrong???

I don't think so, everywhere has different views on when it should be done, I've heard some places that won't even talk about doing a spay until after the first heat (which is ridiculous in my opinion). There's nothing wrong with waiting till 6 months or whenever to spay, it's your choice. I just wanted to get hers done as soon as I could.
