Please keep Sammie in your thoughts, he has his first dental cleaning on Wednesday.
He made it 3 yrs, but he now has stomatitis by one tooth. I guess it's same as gingivitis. He said he won't lose any teeth. Just has tartar and a lot of build up on that one tooth (near front). I know I will worry about him, but I do really like the way my Vet does things--so that helps some. He wants me to give him a CET Dental Chew daily and kibble only is recommended for him. xxxx Last edited by SammieMom; 03-07-2013 at 08:59 PM. |

That's exactly what my vet said for Violet, Kibble and CET dental chews. She loves them. She will have her first dental in Feb. She'll be three. I'll be praying for Sammie.

Sammie will be just fine! When I took Preston in for his first dental I was worried but he was finished in no time. I thought his teeth were horrible but it was mostly just softer surface plaque.
One CET chew per day seems like a lot to me but I have never fed them. Are they low in calories? Just curious because I may need to try some.

Sammie is gonna be just fine and have fresh clean breath and super white teeth! Yay Sammie!
DustMop and his moral support Jappa Head went for a physical Thursday, and they both need a dental. Feburary is dental month at our clinic, so we'll be going in then. I have the CET chews for the guys, but I can't get them to chew on them. Neither one is much of a chewer, a bully stick will collect dust here. They get all happy and take it from me, put it in their blanket and walk away. Buttheads.

Awww Sammie looks so cute in the picture
love him . Kandis, I think Sammie will do great and come back with nice, white teeth :-). I give Obi half or one CET chew per day and he loves them. I get the petite size. I'm glad you have a vet that you like and trust. |

Thank you Deborah-I'm so nervous with any procedure. I'm trying to do better. I was kinda worried about choking, but after reading all the posts I feel ok with giving them. They are chewers.
