Aww ... Dianne, I just want to kiss Sophie's sweet beautiful face. I'd love to hug her, too. I am happy to hear she is doing better.

Bless you for being such a loving and devoted Mommy to your precious little fluff baby angel! Hugs and love for both of you.

Dear Diane,

you know how Sophie has a special place in my heart and how I have great hopes for her.

It is so rewarding when we hear that one of SM fluffs is doing well and recovering from a difficult to treat illness.

May the New Year bring Sophie the energy that she needs and give her that boost to overcome the last few difficulties
and may she become so healthy and give you joy and lots of sweet kisses in the coming years.

Always looking forward to hear good news from you

You cannot imagine how happy it makes me to see and know that a dog is recovering from this terrible disease! I am so happy for both of you. Sophie is a very speical girl.

I have already posted this on FB, but here is info on a grant on MUE (Sophies diagnosis) from the AKC Canine Health Foundation. This site can also recieve doantions for this specific grant. It is a totally different approach to GME\NUE treatment. Read all about it here:

Potential association between altered gut microbiota and development of meningoencephalomyelitis of unknown etiology (MUE) in dogs | AKC Canine Health Foundation

Hopefully 2013 will be the year we all see major advances in the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory brain disease in dogs!!
