Puppy shots!!
Poor Thor got his last round of puppy shots today! We can't even pet him he hollers in pain!! I feel terrible!

Leila has yelped just a couple of times later in the day when getting hers if it's been touched there, but that's all. I have tried to encourage her to move around so the soreness doesn't set in so bad.

Poor little guy.
That doesn't seem right. There shouldn't be any pain. What shots did he get? Can you call the vet and check? I would be worried that he is having a reaction.

Jasmine has yelped, but that was because of the muscles. I put ice on her and she was better after that.

The vet said that was normal to be sore. When we called back he had the dhlpp one it says! He was really sore last time too and we could not touch him for 2 days! Sooo frustrating

Poor little Thor. I hope he is better soon. A little muscle soreness is one thing, but it sounds like he really is in pain if he won't let you touch him. It must be so hard to see him uncomfortable and not be able to snuggle with him.
DHLPP is a combo shot containing 6 or 7 shots given at once. A lot of little dogs have reactions to them because their immune systems get overwhelmed. I wish vets wouldn't give them. They include a vaccine for lepto, which is a non-core vaccine that a lot of dogs have reactions to and many dogs don't really need, depending on where you live. Here is a really good site if you want to read about the recommendations for vaccines for small dogs. I have had many, many dogs over the years and this just does not sound right to me at all. None of them have ever had any issues/problems after getting their shots. Sorry, but if you little one is still crying, I would certainly call the Vet or get another opinion from another Vet.
