Protective is okay...possessive is not okay. I don't want her to bite anyone. I don't think she was this bonded to my neighbor...she didn't growl at anyone who came into her house...

Dogs are like people..............they will not always like everyone all the time. But with some guidance and positive training you can help her by calming down. Take it as a compliment that she truly loves you!!!

My little Jack has issues with some people coming in our yard or house. We have to warn people and either hold him or put him in another room. He went to puppy classes. The trainer was so impressed with him, she suggested he try for Good Canine Citizen. I would say he does have possessive issues. I plan to contact a trainer to come to the house as he has bitten a few times including my sister.

I had to sleep at a sleep center last night for an apnea test. My husband said she was pretty good...he even took her out
Said she whimpered and even howled once or twice, but then settled down. By the way, I failed my test...ugh!!!
