A lot of posts I read here said their dogs were back to normal right away but that wasn't my experience. Gustave looked off for two days. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

Ivy was definitely "off" well into late last night after her spay. I was up fretting about her until 2:00 a.m. But when we got up at 7:30 this morning, it was as if nothing ever happened yesterday and she has been her usual self all day. I wish she were a little more "off" still! Now she wants to romp and play and bounce around and I'm frantically trying to come up with ways to keep her quiet. She has spent more time in her crate today, where she is usually only at nighttime and when I'm not home. I have a little playpen next to my computer too so she's spent time in there today when she wasn't on my lap. It's going to be a long week trying to keep her quiet!
I hope we soon hear how little Sophie is doing. |

Sophie's home! She's definitely "off" groggy, doesn't want to walk, extremely tired, and kinda just has a "disconnected" look in her eyes. I don't really want her to wear the cone much, so I have a onesie on her right now, she kinda gave me the look of "you really think now is a good time to play dress up?" But she let me put it on her and she's laying in her bed. I'm so afraid to pick her up as a usually have an arm across her abdomen. I just hope she isn't too mad at me for leaving her in a strange place for too long

Good to hear she's back home. Keep an eye on her. Most dogs don't bother the stitches but if she does, the onesie won't really help.

![]() Here's my sweet angel resting. Yes her hair is in a top knot, not to be mean but to keep her hair out of her face, poor baby looks a mess. I had meant to give her a bath last night, but completely spaced. So that will make 3 weeks without bathing. Yay!:/ With the onesies. Those will be on all the time, other than potty time of course, and her cone will be on anytime I can't supervise her and during bed time. But right now I can watch her and she's sleeping. I missed my princess so much. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

Oh she's so cute. I think you have a great plan for cone and onesies.
No bathing for three weeks? Our vet said 2, but it's a lot easier for boys. I guess their incision is smaller too. You could use waterless shampoo if you need to. So glad it went well and she's back home. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

That photo... Sophie and Grace look so much alike sometimes!
Sophie is so sweet... I'm glad she is home and resting. She will be much more lively tomorrow. Like others said - the hard part will be getting her to rest and take it easy. Sleep well, Sophie...
