Tori, I'm so happy the surgery is done. Now if you can keep her quite for a few days. Hugs to all. You make sure you take care of Mommy also.

Where is the "exhausted" smiley?
It was a LONG ride home. After 15 minutes on the highway she got upset (too fast and bumpy)... so I had to get off and go on the side streets - took F-O-R-E-V-E-R.... Sigh. But I love my Grace. Her incision is big. He said her uterus was puffy... Looks okay, but thinks it may have been on it's way to infection? I didn't pay good attention... - was too busy looking at the big incision on my baby ![]() He said he is sending it out for biopsy to make sure it isn't something else, but that it's a good thing she was spayed now. He said she shows no signs of current infection (fever, abnormal white cells, etc) so no antibiotic... but if any fever, etc shows - to take her in, they will do one. I believe things happen for a reason... so maybe her labs came back super good so that we would spay her right away to prevent an infection... I don't know. But he said she really had no complications. She did great and came out of it great. But she will be very groggy. No worries about keeping her quiet. She is one a morphine derivative. Will start that tonight. The incision is big but looks good and he did a good job with it... Took a photo of it so we can track the progress or any signs of infection. Her paws are all wrapped. Will get a look at and a photo of thsoe tomorrow. She's really sleepy and out of it. She was having trouble sleeping - the smell. Wiped her down with a bath wipe... and she's resting better. They don't expect her to eat tonight... but said to try a small amount of water around 7pm... if she holds that down to try 1/2 TBS of something like yogurt or cottage cheese. But they gave her glucose in her fluids all day so they really aren't worried if she goes until tomorrow. He was impressed with my bandage wrapping knowledge LOL That fun starts tomorrow. Gus was so sweet... When we got home i put her in her princess bed (laundry basket) and Gus jumped up and put his nose to her nose... just sat there for a few minutes. Almost made me cry! He keeps coming to the basket to check on her. She has to stay in a quiet warm dark space for now so we are hanging out in bed. ![]() Now the hard part and the worry for me begins She looks SO SMALL... I hate seeing her in pain and being so un-Grace....

I'm glad Ollie was given something for the pain
Gus knows how that goes... poor Ollie.I'm glad she's home too... but kind of wish she had stayed a day or two.... Even though if she had I would have been wishing her home.... I'm sure she will be fine

I know when I dropped mine off and picked them up,all I could think of is "mommy is sorry I have to hurt your precious tummies".I gave them lots of tummy kissies before hand and gentle little kissies afterwards....It's really all you can do besides keep watch and make sure they're ok...
Love and nose kissies to Gracie, the worst is over now...

Thanks Michelle.... Yeah, it's hard knowing she's going to be hurting. Praying the 10 days go by fast!
