My vet told me that she was able to order one pill at a time so I just went online and did a google search for it. I am showing allivet.com has the 6 month supply available. Has anyone heard of this site?? Is it safe for me to use??
I used Iverhart Plus this last pill and she did ok, but if I can get the Interceptor, I'd love to be able to. |

I don't know that site but I remember a couple of people saying to beware of some on line places that might sell counterfeit. Here's the latest I saw on Novartis' website about Interceptor coming back: Novartis Animal Health US, Inc. You can also call them for an update.

Sue is right. The EPA has warned consumers about counterfeit heartworm and flea medication:
Counterfeit Pesticide Products for Dogs and Cats | Pesticides | US EPA I would not purchase Interceptor until Novartis announces that they have resumed production and then I would only get it from my vet. |

Ok, I will avoid it then. She did ok on the Iverhart, so I can probably wait a bit until Interceptor is back. My vet said she'd be able to get some in about a month, she thinks.

I know Allivet well and have used it for horse meds for years. They have super fast service; I usually have what I order within 24-48 hours. I also have liked their customer service reps. Use them with confidence.
There was a thyroid supplement (for horses) shortage last year and Allivet was the only place that really went to battle to get it back in stock and shipped out as soon as the company started limited production again, when other companies were just throwing up their hands. My horse vet put me on to this company and uses them too. Last edited by IvysMom; 02-10-2013 at 03:03 PM. |

I so miss Interceptor!! I hope they start making it again. It seems like they have a great market for revenue with this product, I just wish they would start making it again! But everyone is right, I would be very careful on where and who you get it from. I only get these types of meds from vet.

Well, my vet said she was able to get one at a time, so they are apparently are making SOME. But I do agree that we don't know if the ones from this site are expired or not.

I just spoke with the rep last week. They are not making any yet.
Some vets are selling a single dose at a time of the stock they already had. Usually they are good for a few years.
