Sophie's had a relapse - Maltese Dogs Forum : Spoiled Maltese Forums

Things have been going really well for Sophie..we were getting her off prednisone, reducing her atopia and even the leflunomide. She went back last week for her cyto scar shots and the blood work we were told that her protein levels had dropped from the previous time. Well we took her for her grooming on Sunday and I noticed she was a little grumpy but passed it off." Mom, heck I have been through the wringer this week, why do you think I am grumpy?" We'll on Monday when I got home from work I noticed that she was not normal. Hubby was out of town and when he saw her this morning he decided off to the vet school he goes.. They have put her back on the prednisone 1.5 morning and night plus all we had gotten her off of. As I am writing this she is laying other bed with me, her poor body twitching. Had to bring her to bed, if not she just stands ther.

Please keep her in your prayers as I wonder if this is the end of the road for her. She was doing so good..

I'm so sorry to hear she's not doing well, sending good thoughts and prayers for her and you, that she gets through this and is feeling better soon. Poor little thing : (

Diane, I'm so sad for you. I had hoped that Sophie would continue to do well without so much medication.

I'm so sorry....poor baby. I don't know the whole story...but I can feel for you..we never want to see our babies go through this!
