I am sorry to bother you guys, but Penny is so pitiful. She has a gaze look and sits or lays down wherever she is. then when I tried to pick her up to bring her to bed she screamed out
I know she is ok cause when Sammie ran into the den just now, she ran after him, so that's good. Vet said she can be tired and sore. But does anyone remember how long this tired & soreness will last? I'm afraid to touch my baby. and I go to work tomorrow.

Usually they're back to normal by the next morning. If she's not give your vet a call for some pain meds.

Poor Penny!
She really shouldn't be sore from her vaccination. Distemper combos are given subcutaneously (in loose skin), not in the muscle. Lady got her insulin shots twice a day subq and was never sore. I get two allergy shots every week subq and am never sore. Vaccines stimulate the immune response, so she may be feeling a little under the weather. If she's not 100% tomorrow I would check w/your vet. |

Actually soreness is a very common side effect from vaccines, especially around the vaccine site.

Yes.... Think about when you get a vaccine... not a whimpy one but a good booster.... OUCH! I second what Jamie suggested... if she's sore tomorrow, call to get a pain med. It will probably be something mild but still helpful. Like doggy advil...
